Vilnius Salsa Festival is an international salsa dance event held every May since 2007.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We may collect, store, and use the following types of information:

  • Information you provide when subscribing to our services, email notifications, and/or newsletters;

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string (hash) created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it.

After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Data retention

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of holding them for moderation.
